Review: Lush Dashing Santa

This was one of the few lush products from my haul that I wasn't sure about, however I loved it. It made my bath bright red, and smelled lovely. Not sure if I would call it festive, but amazing none the less. There was a little bit of shimmer in it too, so that was great. I really like it when bath bombs have sparkles, because there is something to entertain you will you relax. It wasn't a stand out product, but it was on a whole pretty good, so yeah I would recommend this one :)

Roots and Branches

Today in school during assembly one of the teachers said something that really made me think, it was actually supposed to be about attitude, but it is also a good way to think about your skin. They said that we are like a tree how we act and react (branches) are affected by our beliefs and values (roots).

This is so true, it's a really good way to think about how we should be thinking, because is our hearts and minds are bad, then our attitudes, and actions will be bad also. I think this is super challenging, for me especially, because I have been struggling with being rude to my mother. I tell myself everyday that I am going to be good, and not snap or talk back to mum in any rude type of way, and everyday I fail. So this year I really want to challenge myself and make a big effort, because I always end up disappointed with myself, day after day.

I am also going to try this new thing, I thought of it myself, so I don't know if it's effective, but when I am annoyed by someone, or dislike someone (which if i'm being honest is way more often then it should be) I am going to think of three positive things about the person, and see if that changes my perspective, and how i feel about them.

This idea of a tree, is also good when thinking about skin and acne. our body (the roots) need nutrients, as we know, to keep our skin (the branches) looking smooth and lovely. I'm so bad about this, I've only just started getting pimples, and because I've never had to worry that much about what I eat, and put into my body, I haven't really put a thought into what I'm putting into my body now. I am facing the consequences now, and am trying to make a change, the tree idea is a great way to remind me to keep on track with the healthier attitude, and body.

Hope this has made you think as much as it made me think, I probably didn't say it as well as the teacher, but hey, what the heck.

Lush Haul!!

Yes, I'm another blogger who loves lush!! I found out about lush, by watching Zoella's lush hauls, and can't get enough of it. Unfortunately I'm only thirteen and don't have enough money to be buying constantly, but I have been enjoying lush baths once a week.
I popped into my local lush store, and they had randomly been shipped the last of the christmas bath stuff, and all the christmas stuff was half price!!!! I went mad in the shop, sniffing everything, and picking up all the bath goods, Here is what I ended up with:

Luxury Lush Pud (Bath Ballistic)
I love this bath bomb it's pink, it smells amazing (Kind of like caramel, not sure if thats what they were going for),  and I can't wait to try it!!!

Holly go lightly (Bubble Bar)
I got this one as a christmas present, as you can see it has been used multiple times, which is always a good sign. When I first smelled it , I wasn't too sure, it smelt too musky and spicy for me, but when I used it I loved it. The smell is not over powering at all, and it turns your bath a lovey, festive green. I highly recommend this.
Cinders (Bath Ballistic)
I have heard sooo many good reviews about this, but never bothered to pick it up until now. It smells like orange and cinnamon, and it has popping candy in it, to imitate the sound of a crackling fire? It is rather small, but thats the only downside so far.

Dashing Santa (Bath Ballistic)
This little guy is sooo cute, It's a Santa!!! Not really sure what I think about the smell yet, but hopefully I will love it.
Magic Wand (Bubble Bar)
I really like the look of this one. It's pink, it has a bell, it's a star. All good things if your girly like me. But I'm not sure about the smell, I think it will smell better in the bath, because that's what it's meant for.
The Christmas Penguin (Bubble Bar)
Soo cute!! It smells like my favourite lush product, the pop in the bath bubble bar. It is super cute, and should be able to be re-used. Super excited to try this one!
Candy Mountain (Bubble Bar)
I really like the smell of this, it kind of smells like the comforter bubble bar, or if you haven't tried that, like red licorice. It's pink, so immediately gets a yes from me. Another one I can't wait to try!

Hoped you liked this little haul, I will be doing review on every product, so you can see how the if-y ones turn out :)

Expectations

Last week I was at a camp for my youth group, and while I was there I realized how much easier life would be If we didn't expect so much from ourselves. Now I know we can't just stop trying in school, sport, music etc. but if we just pace ourselves, and stop comparing ourselves to others, we could probably even enjoy school. Not everyone is a maths genius and thats okay, what matters is how you look at school and life.

I struggle with this soo much I am constantly comparing my test results with others, and aiming for top of the class instead of my personal best. There's almost always someone who is better than you in each subject and comparing yourself to them isn't going to get you any where. That's something I am going to have to tell myself hundreds of times this year.

Another way to enjoy school is to be organised. I am the complete opposite. I don't understand how people can finish their homework early in the week and not watch TV or something. I know if I had a choice between homework and facebook, that wouldn't even be a choice for me. But I have made a schedule and am going to try and stick to it, at least for one week.

MY SCHEDULE:

6:00 am - Get up, try to remember to pray in the morning

6:00-7:30 am - Exercise for 20 mins, 10 min devotion, Have shower and get dressed. Sometimes there is also time for facebook :P

7:30-8:00 am - Have breakfast, and big drink of water!

8:00-12:00 pm - School/ Activity/ Work

12:00/12:30 pm - Lunch

1:15-4:00 pm - More School/ Activity/ Work

4:00-4:30 pm - Afternoon tea

4:30-6:30 pm - Homework (:/)

6;30-7:15 pm - Dinner and Dessert

7:15-8:15 pm - Freetime

8:15- 9:00 pm - Wind down and relax, read or have a bath etc.

9:00-10:00 pm - Go to sleep (it takes forever for me to get to sleep), maybe more reading?

This is my ideal schedule but I'm not known for sticking to it :3

Comment good ideas for getting into the spirit of school
